I started life in 1951 and grew up in Southern California. I worked as a fireman and moved all over California. I retired in Northern California as a
Battalion Chief in the fire department. I lived within fishing distance of the Klamath, Trinity and Smith Rivers. I then went to and graduated from the Federal
Law Enforcement Academy (FLETC) in Brunswick, Georgia. I was a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for about 6 years. I moved to New Mexico in 2006 and now I'm
a licenced airplane pilot, aircraft owner and licenced aircraft mechanic (A&P) with inspectors (IA) authorization and work at the airport here in Santa Fe,
NM. I have a lathe and milling machine and enjoy working in my home machine shop. I have about 30 fly rods including 16 bamboo fly rods, with about 30 or so
fly reels. I'm looking forward to finally settling down. I'm starting to gather up the equipment and supplies for making a bamboo rod and fly reel or
two for myself.
