Started life in 51. Grew up in Southern California. Worked as a fireman. Moved all over California. I retired as a Battalion Chief in the fire department. I lived within fishing distance of the Klamath, Trinity and Smith Rivers. I went to and graduated from the Federal Law Enforcement Academy (FLETC) in Brunswick, Georgia. I was a Federal Law Enforcement Officer for about 6 years. I have about 30 fly rods including 14 bamboo fly rods, with about 30 or so fly reels. I moved to New Mexico in '06. I'm a licenced airplane pilot, aircraft owner and licenced aircraft mechanic (A&P) with inspectors (IA) authorization. I work in Santa Fe at one of the best FBO's in the South West. I have a lathe and milling machine and enjoy working in my home machine shop. Looking forward to settling down. I'm starting to gather up the equipment and supplies for making a bamboo rod and fly reel or two for myself.
